What are children capable of?  Are they capable of strapping bombs to their chests in the name of Allah in Palestine. Are they capable of tremendous feats of academics and music. Are they capable of becoming Olympic hero's at very tender ages even before they go through puberty.  When one takes the time to look at Church history we find many more examples of Youth capable of defying our human logic of what children are capable of.  Joan of Arc(1412-1431) received her first visions and revelations at age 12 and as a teenager led the armies of France.  The great pastor Charles Spurgeon(1834-1892) was called to start preaching at the age of 17.  Kathryn Kuhlman(1907-1976) the anointed woman of God who moved mightily in the supernatural first ministered at the age of 14. In today's time Charles Stanley the founder of In Touch Ministries was first called at the the age of 14.  Ask yourself when do you think Youth Evangelism started for these individuals.  I would argue that it started long before they were even called. Fostered in them through Godly individuals who understood what Children in Ministry are capable of.
    Joel 2:28 reads "Then,after doing all those things, I will pour out my Spirit upon all people.  Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams, and your young men will see visions.  The disciple Peter repeated this promise of the last days in Acts 2:17-18.  I am not alone, along with many Christians in believing that this promise is being fulfilled right in front of our very own eyes.  In Rick Joyner's book The Harvest he prophesies, "One of the most extraordinary characteristics of the harvest in the last days will be the Youthfulness of the laborers.  Teenagers will be the backbone of the revival, and preteens will be some of its greatest Evangelists.  Prophet Kim Clement also spoke this word from the Lord in July 05, "God says I am going to restore prayer into the hearts of Children. The Children will begin to pray and their prayers will chase demonic powers."  Along with specific prophesy from the Lord and his word alone in Joel, he also gives us individual examples within the Bible. We can Look to King David, the Prophet Samuel and of course our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who spoke within the synagogue at the age of 12.
    The pagan world that we live in truly understands what our children are capable of. All we have to do is turn our televisions on and our children are bombarded with specific messages to transform their minds to humanistic secular thinking.  Messages of evolution, global warming, and non traditional relationships are specifically targeted at desensitizing our children.  The Islamic fundamentalists are training their youth to give their lives in the name of Allah and many of our Churches are still passing out coloring pages of Noahs Ark with a couple of crackers and juice.  It is time to sound the alarm throughout the Body of Christ amongst parents and leaders.  The future is now and Evangelism for the Youth must be real and alive.  I will continue to expand on this topic in future articles but for now I would encourage you to explore many of the resources within the Bountiful Blessings store attached to this site.
