The Lord has blessed me with a beautiful wife and 5 inspiring children. I first accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as my Savior and Lord in 1996 and I have not been the same since. I actively work within leadership of our Childrens Ministry at our local church in Cincinnati, Ohio. My wife and I homeschool all 5 of our children and have been doing so for over 9 years. My attitude concerning life is one of anticipation and excitement as I continue to stand on the promise of God in Romans 8:28.
Evangelism, Youth and Culture: Considering Homeschooling?
Considering Homeschooling?
As many of you already know my wife and I have homeschooled our 5 children now for almost 10 years. I cannot say enough about the value of educating your children in a homeschool setting. First and foremost we have been given a tremendous opportunity to pour into our children a strong foundation based upon a biblical worldview. Secondly. study after study continues to show that homeschooled youth consistently score higher in testing that determines their readiness to learn at a higher level in the future. It is estimated that their our approximately 2 million children in the United States today who are being homeschooled. Praise God for the pioneers who paved the way in the beginning. Without their sacrifices normal hard working families like our family and yours who care about God, family and country would not have access to the myriad amount of resources today to assist us in our homeschool journey. As more and more Christian parents consider the option of homeschooling each year. It is my hope and prayer that the following Op-ed written by Michael Smith of the Home School Legal Defense Association would encourage and inform you about 3 major questions that every adult asks when considering homeschooling. It is my vision with EYC Ministries that youth evangelism according to a biblical worldview would help in ushering in a new Joshua Generation that would transform culture. In order for this to happen I truly believe homeschooling can and must play a large role in that vision.
